My thoughts so far...

While this will not be the end of this site, I would like to use this blog post as a chance to reflect on the experience of creating a website and learning about counseling and technology thus far.

Building a website, finding relevant content, and creating interesting posts has been a unique challenge. As I am not the most tech-savvy person, there have been struggles along the way, but overall I am very satisfied with what I have created. My goal when beginning this assignment was to gain a better understanding of the use of technology in counseling, specifically for a high school and college student population. I feel much more confident in my ability to not only create a website and write blog posts for this population, but also find credible sources of therapeutic, educational, and occupational information online, understand the ethics and confidentiality of counseling through e-mail, and the value of counseling in a virtual setting.

Ultimately, I aspire to continue this website's development and make blog posts as frequently as my hectic Graduate Student/Career Advisor schedule permits. Stay tuned for more!
